The Posse Foundation held its 2016 Spring Gala, entitled “An Evening of Stars,” on Wednesday, May 25th at 6:30 PM at Cipriani Wall Street, 55 Wall Street. Founded in 1989, Posse identifies public high school students with extraordinary academic and leadership potential who may be overlooked by traditional college selection processes. Posse extends to these students the opportunity to pursue personal and academic excellence by placing them in supportive, multicultural teams—Posses—of 10 students. Posse partner colleges and universities award Posse Scholars four-year, full-tuition leadership scholarships. The Gala was Emceed by Harry Smith, Correspondent, NBC News with a special Performance by Trevor Noah, Comedian, Actor and Host, The Daily Show.

On Monday, July 30th, 2018 Citi Taste of Tennis for the 1st time Heats Up Washington, D.C. at The Hamilton Live with an array of chefs serving up delicious tastings and experiences with international tennis stars!!!
The first Annual premier tennis and culinary event, Citi Taste of Tennis, brought together international tennis stars and D.C. area chefs together at Hamilton Live in Washington, D.C. Coinciding with the Citi Open Tournament, Citi Taste of Tennis was also the official Citi Open Player Party benefiting the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation.
D.C. area chef, Edward Lee, World No. 22 Hyeon Chung, and World No. 17 Naomi Osaka served up barbeque brisket and spicy rice cakes at the event among other food served by notable DC area chefs. In addition, Chef John Mooney from New York City supported the 1st annual D.C. event by participating with his team and showcasing a delicious lobster taco which left you salivating for more. He owns New York City restaurant Bell Book & Candle where Mooney was named a 2011 StarChefs.com Rising Star Sustainability Chef. He currently has a D.C. restaurant in the Union Market complex that will continue showcasing his commitment to responsibly sourced cuisine.

Le Dîner en Blanc is by invitation only, traditionally issued by friends and friends of friends who have participated in the past. Another means of attending is via the often-extensive wait lists in each city.
The event has proven to be such a beloved tradition that across the country the number of cities has increased to 32 with five premieres in 2018 alone: Charlotte, Decatur, Fort Lauderdale, Indianapolis, Memphis, and Wilmington. While new cities join the adventure every year, in some cities like Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., Le Dîner en Blanc has become THE social gathering of the year.

On Monday, August 1st, 2016 The World Premiere of Warner Bros. Pictures and Atlas Entertainment’s “Suicide Squad” took place at The Beacon Theatre in New York City. The film screening was an invitation only event as well as radio station winners and Midtown Comics guests. The after-party followed to an invitation only crowd at Skylight at Moynihan Station.

Salute! A Tuesday evening in Mid October Fall was officially upon us and what better way than to spend a beautiful crispy New York City evening in one of the best restaurants on Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side inside The Met Breuer Museum, La Flora. A selected group of writers and social media influencers were invited to an intimate wine pairing dinner with Wine Enthusiast Magazine and Custoza D.O.C. wines from Italy.
As contemporary-cool as its art museum digs, this restaurant pairs the playful Asian-accented dishers of acclaimed Chef Ignacio Mattos and is one of Wine Enthusiast Magazine's Top 100 Best Wine Restaurants of 2018.
Our evening began with sampling on Custoza D.O.C. wines as well as some well-paired appetizers. We dined with Wine Enthusiast Tasting Director Alexander Peartree as regional representatives from the consorzio featured exceptional wines paired with an elegant 3-course dinner.
A little bit about Custoza D.O.C., it's located west of Verona, Italy along the south-eastern shores of Lake Garda, the wines of Custoza are marked by a heady aroma matched with bright stone-fruit freshness. The indigenous varieties of Garganega, TGrebbianello and Bianca Fernanda are key to the white, sparkling and passito-style wines made in the region, with smaller amounts of other grapes also allowed in the blends. Custoza is a cuvée (top-tier) wine that celebrates the attributes each grape brings to the final blend, resulting in a truly unique expression that offers considerable drinkability and a depth of food pairing potential.

Custoza is a generous land, the surrounding landscape suggesting a cultural heritage to be discovered, and above all refined grape vines. In fact, it is not by chance that wine has always been an expression of the character of this piece of land. Thanks to the climate that it enjoys where the terraces of these moraine hills are caressed by the gentle breeze from Lake Garda contributing to the creation of a soft, velvety, fresh and light wine. The DOC is named after Custoza, a historical village in the Municipality of Sommacampagna.
The settlement was an ancient watch and guard station built in the period of the wars between Mantua and Verona in the 13th century, and which controlled the hills of the nearby Via Postumia from above. Custoza DOC, according to the rules governing its production, is made mainly with native grapes such as Garganega (20-40%), Trebbianello (local biotype of Tokay Friulano 5-30%) and Bianca Fernanda (local Cortese clone 0 - 30%) to which are added, in varying degrees, Trebbiano Toscano (10-45%), Malvasia, Manzoni Bianco, Italic Riesling, Pinot Bianco and Chardonnay (0- 30%, alone or in mixtures). The vineyards of the hills and foothills exposed to the south and south-west on morainic soils are suitable for the production of Custoza.

THE FRAGRANCE FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF ITS 2018 AWARDS Rita Ora, Naomi Campbell, Nina Dobrev, Morena Baccarin and Josephine Skriver Feted the Year’s Top Fragrances
The 2018 winners of The Fragrance Foundation Awards were announced last night at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City. The iconic, star-studded event, hosted by award-winning actress Jane Krakowski, celebrated fragrance at its finest and paid tribute to legends of the fragrance world.
“Tonight’s winners, finalists and honorees represent the very best of the fragrance industry,” said Linda G. Levy, president of The Fragrance Foundation. “They bring to life the artistry and passion that makes fragrance so transformative and inspiring.”
In total, nineteen winning fragrances were announced, showcasing the richness and diversity of today’s fragrance industry. Winners represented the best in women’s, men’s, home and bath & body fragrance.
Ann Gottlieb, celebrated perfume strategist and founder of her eponymous consultancy, became a Hall of Fame honoree. “To receive this award recognizing my contributions to the world of fragrance is a validation of my work and is absolutely thrilling,” said Ms. Gottlieb. “I’m truly honored and poised to continue for the next 50 years!”
Firmenich Master Perfumer Olivier Cresp was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Perfumer Award. “To start from scratch and have maybe the highest award that one can receive is really incredible,” said Mr. Cresp. “It’s something I never expected and I’m very honored.” Frédéric Malle, known for his groundbreaking Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle, received the Foundation’s Game Changer Award, which was presented by the incomparable Leonard Lauder.
“This recognition is like an Oscar for your career, so it’s humbling,” said Mr. Malle. “Since my mother and her father both worked in the industry, this award is very moving for me. It’s like an accolade from someone very close to me recognizing that I maybe contributed something too.”
