There are so many options to consider going to see the annual 4th of July celebration. We were invited to Industry Kitchen in South Street Seaport set off from barges near Pier 17, just across in the East River to eat and see the fireworks up close and personal. It is even more special to see the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks live.

It was not too crowded to view the fireworks with a diverse and energetic crowd that enjoyed the extensive full open bar and scrumptious assortment of buffet tasting station. The ribs, miso salmon and corn on the cob were my favorites. The staff was really great and they also made the event even more enjoyable.

Industrial Kitchen is a one of various fine dining restaurants of the Merchants Hospitality Restaurants Group. CBS considers this place as one of 5 best restaurants with views of Manhattan. CBS also, considers Industry Kitchen having one of the five best Christmas Menu. Haute Living also likes Industry Kitchen especially one of 7 restaurants for celebrating Thanksgiving.

In addition to Downtown Manhattan in the South Street Seaport, they also had fireworks in Midtown Manhattan at 23rd street and 37th street on the barges in the East River.

The spectacular fireworks shows lasted 30 minutes and it was bigger than ever as being the 40th anniversary of the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks.

We had an opportunity to meet briefly with Abraham Merchant – CEO Merchants Hospitality, Inc. {Owner of Industry Kitchen} and this is what he said regarding his favorite holiday.

"4th of July is one of my favorite holidays because of the significance of what Independence day represents, celebrating a unified nation and the heroism of those who protect us from harm’s way. In celebration of this, I host an annual fun filled viewing party at Industry Kitchen, which brings the entire community together, families and friends, and visitors from around the world to enjoy the festivities with delicious food, cocktails and the most spectacular view of the fireworks in NYC,”  said Abraham Merchant – CEO Merchants Hospitality, Inc.

We would like to thank Mr. Merchant for the invitation to attend his special fireworks viewing party while enjoying the different buffet options. If you have not gone to Industry Kitchen yet, definitely go. You do not have to wait for a special occasion to attend as it has excellent food options for everyone.

Industry Kitchen is nestled along the East River next to the historic South Street Seaport, and just steps from the water’s edge.  The stunning 5,000 square-foot venue accommodates up to 300 guests with indoor and outdoor seating, allowing unobstructed views of the Brooklyn and Williamsburg Bridges and Brooklyn Skyline.
