It is good to see that Landry organization is mixing things up. Morton's Grille is a welcome addition in the area that replaced Vic & Anthony's.  The organization recently opened Mastro's Steakhouse which was the old McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood restaurant. New Yorkers welcome the change.

This place has had some famous restaurants like Angelo and Maxie that many enjoyed for many years.

We look forward to savoring the menu Morton's Grille will offer guests in the city. We think they will certainly enjoy their culinary experience in New York City.

Landry’s, Inc added more sizzle to NYC with their newest concept, Morton’s Grille, on December 3, 2014 in the heart of Gramercy Park. Morton's Grille is their first spin-off concept that is more casual and less expensive version of their signature steakhouse. There are two other Morton's Grille in Kansas City, Missouri and Woodlands, Texas beside their legendary steak houses.

It was great to try the delicious passed hors d'ouevres such as Tuna Poke with a soy caramel sauce, Buffalo Chicken Meatballs and more. We enjoyed the station with Braised Beef Short Rib Sliders, Pastrami Reuben, and Crab Cakes Sliders. There was a seafood station of shrimp and oysters from Massachusetts and steak station with multiple sauces.

One had a choice of four red wines, two white wines, and diverse sample of drinks such as their Bachelorette Punch consisting of Flor de Cana Silver Rum, Triple Sec, Coconut Water, Lime, Pineapple Juice and Strawberry Puree, Topped with Piper Sonoma Sparkling Wine and 6 drops of Falernum Bitters or the Punch in the Face consisting of Sombra Agave de Oaxaca Mezcal, Lime, Honey, Ginger Ale, Jalapeno, Orange Slices, Bacon and Orange Juice.  A wine lover has a large selection of red and white wine by the glass choosing from over 30 selections. The bar is spacious where it is easy to relax, network, and enjoy.

We sampled some of their extensive and interesting menu. The Grilled offers many unusual starters especially sushi to choose from. Many will savor new items such as their Land and Sea consisting of Seared Sea Scallops, Shitake Mushrooms and Braised Short Rib Gnocchi Shrimp & Grits consisting of Jumbo Shrimp, Chorizo, Smoked Gouda Cheese Grits, and Braised Beef Short Rib Tacos.

There were many delicious desserts to choose from such as Key Lime Pie, Ice Cream Sandwiches, Peanut Butter Mouse and Cheesecake Pop to finish off the fine food, wine and liquor. Also, on the dessert menu was the unusual White Chocolate Pecan Bread Pudding with Bourbon Caramel Sauce and their “LA BETTE NOIR” consisting of Flourless Chocolate Cake topped off with Fresh Raspberry Puree.

The staff was great being very friendly, enthusiastic and professional.

New Yorkers really love brunch. Morton’s Grille in New York City will offer brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m with usual signature dishes and others like Lobster Benedict consisting of Maine Lobster, Poached Eggs, Spinach and Béarnaise Sauce.
