On Monday, July 30th, 2018 Citi Taste of Tennis for the 1st time Heated Up Washington, D.C. at The Hamilton Live with an array of chefs serving up delicious tastings and experiences with international tennis stars!!!

The first Annual premier tennis and culinary event, Citi Taste of Tennis, brought together international tennis stars and D.C. area chefs together at Hamilton Live in Washington, D.C. Coinciding with the Citi Open Tournament, Citi Taste of Tennis was also the official Citi Open Player Party benefiting the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation.

D.C. area chef, Edward Lee, World No. 22 Hyeon Chung, and World No. 17 Naomi Osaka served up barbeque brisket and spicy rice cakes at the event among other food served by notable DC area chefs. In addition, Chef John Mooney from New York City supported the 1st annual D.C. event by participating with his team and showcasing a delicious lobster taco which left you salivating for more. He owns New York City restaurant Bell Book & Candle where Mooney was named a 2011 StarChefs.com Rising Star Sustainability Chef. He currently has a D.C. restaurant in the Union Market complex that will continue showcasing his commitment to responsibly sourced cuisine.

Citi Taste of Tennis kicks off major tennis tournaments throughout North America. The event has garnered a lot of press and travels the country to key cities such as Indian Wells, CA, Miami, FL, New York and now Washington, D.C. is produced by none other than AYS. ​As different states are beginning to open up again with Phase 1 and Phase II stages, there are some upcoming tournaments tennis enthusiasts will be very excited to partake. CITI OPEN is currently scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C. is from August 1 - 9, 2020. Following the CITI OPEN tournament, the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati, Ohio is scheduled to take place from August 15 - 23rd. 

The US OPEN Tournament in New York is currently still scheduled to take place August 24th - September 13th, 2020 pending the coronavirus pandemic. On the US OPEN website this is the statement they have released so far.

"At this time, no official decisions have been made surrounding the 2020 US Open. We continue to research and explore a number of different models and scenarios, with the hopes of holding the event on the same dates as originally scheduled, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

As has been our position from day one, our primary concern is the health and safety of the players, staff, broadcasters and all those involved. Working with the WTA and ATP, the goal is to implement a plan that eases any undue strain on and mitigates risk for the competitors in all facets of the event, including international travel, lodging, COVID-19 medical screening and testing, and operational protocols.

As previously stated, we are aiming to make a definitive announcement surrounding the 2020 US Open in mid-to-late June."

​Let's hope the tournaments will continue to take place. We hope a situation like Indian Wells doesn't happen where all the players and spectators  fly in and then are forced to cancel their travel plans.

Romance Reigns as 30 U.S. Cities- -80 Worldwide–Host Legendary All White Pop-Up Culinary Experience at an Undisclosed Locale...

​The lelegendary all white French-inspired pop-up dinner has become THE culinary event of the year in the U.S. and cities around the world. While new cities join the adventure every year, in many cities, Le Dîner en Blanc has become THE social gathering of the year.

Le Dîner en Blanc is by invitation only, traditionally issued by friends and friends of friends who have participated in the past. Another means of attending is via the often-extensive wait lists in each city–in New York in 2018 there were 64,000 people on the wait-list.

Every summer in cities around the world, thousands of people dressed in head-to-toe white first gather at specific rallying points. Guided by local volunteers, these groups then descend on one of the city’s most beautiful outdoor public settings, either on foot or by other organized means of transportation. They bring everything they need for an elegant soirée in tow, including folding table and chairs, gourmet picnic food, fine china, silverware, and white tablecloth. Over the course of the evening, the guests eat and celebrate amid live music and dancing. Many spend weeks in advance planning their menus and their elaborate white ensembles! The cause uniting thousands: camaraderie, plain and simple.

Guests dine on their own specially curated meals such as lobster, charcuterie, cheese platters, baguettes and desserts, many dishes as opulent as their attire. Le Dîner en Blanc offers guests the ultimate opportunity to express their unique fashion and design style. Originality is encouraged; the creative outfits, fantastical hats, and decorative table settings are always a fabulous spectacle. It’s an Instagram lover’s dream--some participants dress as Marie Antoinette with lavishly detailed gowns and wigs. Other ensembles include gowns embellished with string lights, fairy wings, silk tuxedos, dapper sailor suits, powdered wigs, enormous picture hats and headpieces. The elaborate white table centerpieces range from a miniature carousel centerpiece with each horse carrying a white or silver cupcake to birds in white cages and paper lanterns affixed with LED lights and candelabras.

Christine Tripoli of Looking Glass Events Group and Peter Kohlmann of PEKO Productions are the co-hosts of Le Dîner en Blanc New York this summer with Linda Davis and Kaitlin Davis of The Davis Group. Davis, who serves as host in four U.S. cities, says the Big Apple holds a special place in her heart. She explains, “LeDîner en Blanc first debuted in New York before expanding to other U.S. cities and guests here have developed an extraordinarily passionate bond with the event. I am thrilled to be a part of such a magical evening again.” Participation in this unique event happens in three stages: Phase 1 is for members from the previous year; Phase 2 is for new members who are referred by Phase I attendees; and Phase 3 is for people who signed up on the waiting list. To maintain the uniqueness of Le Dîner en Blanc as well as stay true to tradition, guests must observe certain requirements and follow a few key rules: Once confirmed, each guest’s participation becomes mandatory, regardless of weather conditions.This is a rain or shine event. Dress code:elegant and white only. Originality is encouraged as long as it is stylish and tasteful. Table setting: All white! Champagne and/or wine. Beer and hard liquor prohibited. The alcohol laws and regulations for most states, including New York, do not allow guests to bring their own alcohol. Guests who wish to enjoy some wine or Champagne must reserve online through their caterer website. However, guests are welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic beverages.

To ensure that the location secret is kept undisclosed until the last minute, guests meet at assigned departure location and are escorted by a Dîner en Blanc volunteer. In order to leave the event location as clean as when they arrived, guests are required to clean their area, and leave with all their belongings, leftovers and litter.

On Monday, August 1st, 2016 The World Premiere of Warner Bros. Pictures and Atlas Entertainment’s “Suicide Squad” took place at The Beacon Theatre in New York City.  The film screening was an invitation only event as well as radio station winners and Midtown Comics guests. The after-party followed to an invitation only crowd at Skylight at Moynihan Station.

At the premiere's red carpet actors from the film included: Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Scott Eastwood, Cara Delevingne, Adam Beach, Karen Fukuhara, Jim Parrack, Ike Barinholtz, Common, director/screenwriter David Ayer; producers Chuck Roven, Richard Suckle; executive producer Geoff Johns and soundtrack music artists.

From director David Ayer (“Fury,” “End of Watch”) comes “Suicide Squad,” starring Oscar nominee Will Smith (“Ali,” “The Pursuit of Happyness”), Oscar winner Jared Leto (“Dallas Buyers Club”), Margot Robbie (“The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Focus”), Joel Kinnaman (Netflix’s “House of Cards”) and Oscar nominee Viola Davis (“The Help,” “Doubt”).

On Saturday, May 18, 2019 The Stronach Group hosted for the 4th year an epic luxury experience for VIP guests to partake during the 144th Preakness Stakes by having a VIP Chalet for guests to enjoy the full day event. The VIP event was hosted by Belinda Stronach who's named one of the world’s 100 most influential people by TIME Magazine, and one of Fortune Magazine’s Most Powerful Business Women.

Guests included actors, athletes, business executives, community stakeholders, government officials, racing industry elites, renowned chefs, socialites, singers, performers, and TV personalities. Guests at the VIP Chalet were able to enjoy spectacular finish line views from the two-story glass chalet located next to the Winner’s Circle. It certainly was the place to be as not only locals experienced the delightful event but people traveled from the US and internationally to be part of the activities. 

The 144th Preakness Stakes, the Middle Jewel of the Triple Crown and the signature race in the state of Maryland was celebrated by 131,256  guests. The total handle on Pimlico's 14-race program was a record-breaking $99.8 million, surpassing the $93,655,128 million wagered in 2018.

War of Will, Jockey Tyler Gaffalione, trainer Mark Casse, and owner Gary Barber, finished first in the 144th Preakness Stakes, completing the 1 3/16-mile race in 1:54:34 minutes. Everfast finished second and Owendale took third. We can't overlook on the jockey-less horse Bodexpress, perseverance to complete the race whom stole the show during the last race by continuing to race the full course and complete it without finishing last. 

“The 144th Preakness Stakes surpassed our expectations thanks to the horsemen and fans who came to celebrate this grand Maryland tradition,” said Belinda Stronach, Chairman and President. “It makes for an unforgettable day of entertainment when you combine the world’s top performers with the best Thoroughbred horses and jockeys at one of the most celebrated sporting events. More than 20,000 fans flocked to InfieldFest, a full day festival featuring an all-star lineup of performances by artists including Norwegian superstar, Kygo, rap artist, Logic, GRAMMY Award winning producer and DJ Diplo, Billboard Music Awards Top New Artist winner Juice WRLD, Australian House and Techno producer FISHER and rising star on the Billboard Canadian charts Frank Walker. The Posse Foundation held its 2016 Spring Gala, entitled “An Evening of Stars,” on Wednesday, May 25th at 6:30 PM at Cipriani Wall Street, 55 Wall Street. Founded in 1989, Posse identifies public high school students with extraordinary academic and leadership potential who may be overlooked by traditional college selection processes. Posse extends to these students the opportunity to pursue personal and academic excellence by placing them in supportive, multicultural teams—Posses—of 10 students. ​​​​​​THE FRAGRANCE FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF ITS 2018 AWARDS Rita Ora, Naomi Campbell, Nina Dobrev, Morena Baccarin and Josephine Skriver Feted the Year’s Top Fragrances

The 2018 winners of The Fragrance Foundation Awards were announced last night at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City. The iconic, star-studded event, hosted by award-winning actress Jane Krakowski, celebrated fragrance at its finest and paid tribute to legends of the fragrance world.

“Tonight’s winners, finalists and honorees represent the very best of the fragrance industry,” said Linda G. Levy, president of The Fragrance Foundation. “They bring to life the artistry and passion that makes fragrance so transformative and inspiring.”

In total, nineteen winning fragrances were announced, showcasing the richness and diversity of today’s fragrance industry. Winners represented the best in women’s, men’s, home and bath & body fragrance.

Ann Gottlieb, celebrated perfume strategist and founder of her eponymous consultancy, became a Hall of Fame honoree. “To receive this award recognizing my contributions to the world of fragrance is a validation of my work and is absolutely thrilling,” said Ms. Gottlieb. “I’m truly honored and poised to continue for the next 50 years!”

Firmenich Master Perfumer Olivier Cresp was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Perfumer Award. “To start from scratch and have maybe the highest award that one can receive is really incredible,” said Mr. Cresp. “It’s something I never expected and I’m very honored.” Frédéric Malle, known for his groundbreaking Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle, received the Foundation’s Game Changer Award, which was presented by the incomparable Leonard Lauder.

“This recognition is like an Oscar for your career, so it’s humbling,” said Mr. Malle. “Since my mother and her father both worked in the industry, this award is very moving for me. It’s like an accolade from someone very close to me recognizing that I maybe contributed something too.”

Other awards presenters and attendees included, models Chanel Iman, Hari Nef and, stylist Olivia Palermo, actors Ben McKenzie and Rick Gonzalez, designers John Varvatos and Jason Wu, dancer Derek Hough, Hearst Chief Content Officer Joanna Coles, ELLE Magazine Editor in Chief Nina Garcia, founder and CEO of Glossier Emily Weiss, founder of Huda Beauty Mona Kattan and more.
