Atlas Entertainment’s “Suicide Squad” held at The Beacon Theatre and After-Party at Skylight at Moynihan Station
On Monday, August 1st, 2016 The World Premiere of Warner Bros. Pictures and Atlas Entertainment’s “Suicide Squad” took place at The Beacon Theatre in New York City. The film screening was an invitation only event as well as radio station winners and Midtown Comics guests. The after-party followed to an invitation only crowd at Skylight at Moynihan Station.
At the premiere's red carpet actors from the film included: Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Scott Eastwood, Cara Delevingne, Adam Beach, Karen Fukuhara, Jim Parrack, Ike Barinholtz, Common, director/screenwriter David Ayer; producers Chuck Roven, Richard Suckle; executive producer Geoff Johns and soundtrack music artists.
From director David Ayer (“Fury,” “End of Watch”) comes “Suicide Squad,” starring Oscar nominee Will Smith (“Ali,” “The Pursuit of Happyness”), Oscar winner Jared Leto (“Dallas Buyers Club”), Margot Robbie (“The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Focus”), Joel Kinnaman (Netflix’s “House of Cards”) and Oscar nominee Viola Davis (“The Help,” “Doubt”).
Written and directed by Ayer based on the characters from DC, the film also stars Jai Courtney (“Insurgent”), Jay Hernandez (“Takers”), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (“Thor: The Dark World”), Ike Barinholtz (“Neighbors”), Scott Eastwood (“Fury”), Cara Delevingne (“Paper Towns”), Adam Beach (“Cowboys & Aliens”), and Karen Fukuhara in her feature film debut. It is produced by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle, with Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Colin Wilson and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.
Warner Bros. Pictures presents, an Atlas Entertainment production, a film by David Ayer, “Suicide Squad.” The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company. The film opens worldwide in 3D, and in 2D, and in select IMAX 3D theaters beginning August 5, 2016.
This film has been rated PG-13 by the MPAA for sequences of violence and action throughout, disturbing behavior, suggestive content and language.

Sushi lovers in New York City to experience David Bouhadana’s new omakase destination, Sushi by Boū bringing the 12-piece, 30-minute, $50-omakase with his own signature style to a 4-seat venue at Gansevoort Market. Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Sushi by Boū features the same high-quality, quick-service format that Bouhadana’s fans know and love, enhanced with new experiences to offer what the sushi chef states is his “best omakase yet.”
He is recognized as one of the most innovative sushi chefs in New York City today. His story begins in Florida where, at the age of 18, he began waiting tables at Yokohama Sushi, a local spot in his hometown of Boca Raton. It wasn’t long before he found himself in the kitchen, and his unbridled passion for sushi was discovered. Bouhadana trained incessantly, working incredibly hard to hone his skill and learn everything he could about the restaurant industry. By the end of the year, he had assumed the position of head chef.
Knowing there was more for him to learn, Bouhadana then spent his early 20s studying and perfecting his craft in Japan. He worked admittedly-exhausting 14-hour days under a rigid Japanese sushi master in a restaurant outside of Osaka, where he also taught himself the language. When he returned to the U.S., his next destination was New York City. Bouhadana landed at some of the best sushi restaurants in Manhattan, such as Morimoto, and designed his own menu at Sushi Uo before moving on to open the highly successful Sushi Dojo in the East Village. There, Bouhadana began developing his own omakase experience, pairing expertly-prepared sushi with a lively atmosphere and aesthetic.
Since then, Bouhadana has made a name for himself by recreating Japan’s authentic fast-casual omakase concept with his own signature style in New York. He was named one of the top chefs in the country under 30 by Zagat, and recently won a New York Emmy Award for his web series Shokunin: An Eater Series hosted by David Bouhadana. Above all, Bouhadana’s passion and energy make him a force to be reckoned with. The Sushi by Boū omakase is both refined and creative, offering pieces such as toro with a touch of truffle salt and Three Amigos, combining ikura, quail egg and uni. Those who complete their omakase journey within their 30-minute reservation will be invited to continue sampling off-the-menu chef specials such as the Big Mac – a triple stack of toro, scallop and uni, and the Waguni Handroll, among other pieces. The concept also features a pop-up guest chef omakase station, offering customers access to two entirely different menus and experiences in one action-packed space.
Furthermore, Sushi by Boū has what is soon to be known as the city's best omakase-in-a-box. The signature omakase (12 pieces) will be expertly packaged in a custom box and available for take-out ($50 a box + $12 for an extra roll) and delivery exclusively via Caviar.

The Harriman Cup is an annual fundraiser and alumni polo match between the University of Virginia and Yale University that takes place at Bethpage State Park, which is the home of Polo at the Park, and has hosted several U.S. Open Golf Championships.
For over 3 decades, the Harriman Cup has commemorated the life of diplomat, polo player, and former New York Governor Averell Harriman. All alumni, family and friends are invited and encouraged to attend -- the more, the merrier. For tickets to the polo matchCLICK HERE.
The Harriman Cup is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of polo and supporting the collegiate polo programs at Yale and UVa. The organization has raised over $1 million for the schools’ undergraduate polo teams. The Harriman Cup is active throughout the year and sponsors other events as well. The Harriman Cup was founded in 1984 to commemorate the life of W. Averell Harriman, a 1913 Yale graduate and polo player, who was the former Governor of New York, former U.S. Ambassador to Great Britain and the Soviet Union, and was the U.S. Secretary of Commerce under President Truman.
The Harriman Cup Award honors stellar individuals who have made huge contributions to the world of polo, and who embody the leadership, public service, and staunch advocacy and support for equestrian sports that were characteristics of Averell Harriman. We are proud to announce that Peter M. Brant is this year’s recipient of the Harriman Award.
Peter Brant is an entrepreneur, manufacturing executive, publisher, philanthropist, sportsman and art collector, whose eclectic mix of personal interests and commercial ventures have resulted in achievements in business, philanthropy and the arts.
Born in 1947, Mr. Brant’s wide-ranging career, has taken him on a journey from growing up in Queens, N.Y. to his current home in Greenwich, Conn.
Mr. Brant is the chairman and chief executive officer of White Birch Paper, whose predecessor business his father co-founded in the 1940s. In 2008, Mr. Brant bought out his partner in the company. In 2010, after a sharp downturn in demand for newsprint, he guided the enterprise through a major restructuring that has positioned it for the future. Today the company, which is based in Greenwich, Conn., remains among the largest newsprint manufacturers in North America, operating four pulp and paper mills in Canada and the United States.
He also heads Brant Publications, Inc., a magazine publishing concern he co-founded in 1984. Brant Publications publishes Interview, the iconic publication created by Andy Warhol which the company purchased from the Warhol estate in 1989. Brant Publications and BMP Media Holdings, LLC also own art media titles Art in America, The Magazine Antiques, Modern Magazine and ARTnews.
As a real estate developer, Mr. Brant was in 1983 the driving force behind Conyers Farm, a premier residential community located in Greenwich, Conn. and North Castle, N.Y. Mr. Brant sought to retain the character and aesthetic of the 1500-acre parcel of rural land by establishing strict zoning, building and environmental standard, ensuring appropriate density with and architectural integrity among the homes built there.
Among Mr. Brant’s longest held personal passions is contemporary art. An avid collector since college, Mr. Brant’s first art purchases were two Warhols and a Franz Kline. Having continued to invest in art over the years, Mr. Brant’s well-regarded collection includes works by contemporary masters such as Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol, as well as up-and-coming North American artists.
Mr. Brant’s interest in art also led him into film producing. He has been a producer of six films including: L’Amour in 1973, Andy Warhol’s Bad in 1977, Basquiat in 1996, Pollock in 2000, and along with PBS, Andy Warhol: A Documentary in 2006, winner of the 2006 Peabody Award and an Emmy Award. Mr. Brant produced and financed The Homesman, an 1850′s period Western and official selection for the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, directed by and starring Tommy Lee Jones, Hilary Swank and Meryl Streep.
Mr. Brant is the founder of the Greenwich Polo Club and a co-founder of the Bridgehampton Polo Club on Long Island and a leading patron of the sport as well as an active player. He has also bred and owned racehorses, including Gulch, winner of the Breeder’s Cup Sprint in 1988. Mr. Brant was co-owner of Swale the 1984 Kentucky Derby Winner. In 1995, with Thunder Gulch’s victory in the Kentucky Derby, he became the only breeder to have bred not only the winner of the Run for the Roses but also the winner’s sire and dam.
As his primary philanthropic focus, Mr. Brant established The Brant Foundation, Inc. and The Brant Foundation Art Study Center, both based in Greenwich. The organizations promote education and appreciation of contemporary art and design. The Brant Foundation, Inc. makes artwork available to institutions and individuals for scholarly study, examination and loan. The Brant Foundation Art Study Center mounts exhibits – open to the public by appointment at no charge.
Mr. Brant has long been active in support of major museums. He is a member of the advisory council of The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, serves on the art advisory board at Hunter College, New York, NY, and is a member of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art’s Visiting Committee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. A former trustee of both the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, in 2013 Mr. Brant was awarded an American Art Award by the Whitney Museum of American Art for his commitment to the arts. In 2015 Mr. Brant was honored by the New York Academy of Art and in addition, received the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award for his commitment to arts and philanthropy.

New York was the first city in America to host Le Dîner en Blanc. The legendary French-inspired secret pop-up dinner party is among the most coveted events of the year, bringing together food lovers, cultural enthusiasts, and fashionistas. On August 22nd, 2017 over 5,000 people dressed in elegant head-to-toe white will descend upon a secret outdoor location in the city that is revealed at the last minute – last summer 45,000 people were on the wait list.
Members (those who are registered and have attended in previous years) of last year’s event will automatically receive an invitation to attend this year's event and will have the privilege of registering in Phase 1 set for Tuesday, August 8th. Please note that your guest from last year is not a member, so if he/she is not accompanying you this year, you have the option to sponsor him/her, or another friend or family member, so they will be invited during Phase 2 (Sponsored friends from Phase 1 Members).

Guests bring their own gourmet picnic, fine china and silverware, white table settings, white tables and chairs. Once all 5,000 guests are seated, at approximately 7 PM they will wave their white linen napkins in the air to signal the beginning of the dinner festivities. Visuals include all-white fashion ensembles , with a few masks, angel wings, Marie Antoinette wigs and white headpieces thrown in to spice things up; sumptuous food; and elaborate decorative table settings like caged white doves as a centerpiece, candelabras and flowers. There is entertainment and dancing once dinner concludes.
Dîner en Blanc will be hosted on a secret landmark outdoor public site in New York where diners can “see and be seen.” Groups of several hundred people first gather at 24 meeting points across the city and are guided by local volunteers, either on foot or by other organized means of transportation, to the location, which remains secret until minutes before the event is slated to start.
Launched in Paris in 1988 by François Pasquier and a handful of friends, Le Dîner en Blanc has become a worldwide epicurean phenomenon. Le Dîner en Blanc - Paris now attracts over 10,000 people each year. What was a “friends and word-of-mouth only” event has grown into an international sensation celebrated on six continents. While the technology behind the event may have changed over the years, the principles fuelling this magical event have not: guests continue to gather at a secret location for the sole purpose of sharing a gourmet meal with good friends in one of their city’s most beautiful public spaces. Dîner en Blanc International is responsible for developing this secret posh picnic in 79 cities in 28 countries around the world. Each event is headed by passionate local organizers who fell in love with the concept and wanted to bring it to their city, giving this rendezvous a local flair.
